If we talk about the story, then this story is about the relationship between father and son. By the way, whatever movie is coming in this much, it is based on the relation of father and son. Oh my God too and also Gadar too. And in this movie, Rajinikanth is a retired jailer whose son is an assistant commissioner who one day suddenly disappears and his father sets out to find him. The film is of two hours and 50 minutes, in which if you see the first second half, then where you will find the first half very engaging and entertaining, the second half also seems to deviate a bit from its plot. In the second half, it would seem that what was the need of all this. Will start to feel a little wasted. After a while the story will also come back on its track.
Mohanlal, Jackie Shroff and Tamannaah enter in the second half itself and apart from Rajinikanth, all the big actors have cameos of only a few minutes and except for Tamannaah, all the cameos are the best. His presence makes the story a little more meaningful. You will enjoy the most in the second half. There is a back story of 5 to 6 minutes where Rajinikanth is shown as a middle age jailer. By the way, the songs are also very good in this film. Actually the songs have not been used for a long time. They come and go for a while and the dialogues of the film have been kept a bit comic.
You will get to see more situational comedy in the first half and more action in the second half which will keep you entertained. Rajinikanth’s swag is enough to catch the eye on the screen. So yes, this movie is going to give tough competition to Gadar 2 and Oh My God 2 and somewhere in the wake of Gadar 2 and OMG 2, we feel that its Hindi shows are being shown very less in North so that the audience who He is more inclined towards Bollywood movies than the jailer.
Anyway, Jailer is a sure shot entertainer with flowers in second half movie has got UA certification. The bloodshed is shown quite brutally. Separating the head from the torso means more than that.
